Moroccan Yassine Bono, Al Hilal Saudi goalkeeper, explained the reason behind not completing his transfer deal to Spanish Real Madrid during the summer transfer period.
Bono said, during statements to the “El Pelotazo” program: “I already received an offer from Real Madrid, and it was a priority for me.”
He added: “But the holding of the African Cup of Nations next January complicated matters, and the deal collapsed.”
Regarding his move to Al Hilal, he explained: “I felt that the time had come to leave Seville. I gave everything to the club and inside me I no longer had the same energy, so I decided to leave and have another experience.”
