Burnley defeated Salford City (Division Four) by 4 goals to zero, today, Tuesday, in the third round of the English League Cup, thanks to an exceptional performance from Moroccan international Anas Zorori, who had three assists.
The Premier League club quickly took control of the match, and opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a header from Sander Berg, who followed a corner kick from Al-Zaruri.
Less than ten minutes later, the Atlas Lion made a deep pass to Jacob Bruun Larsen, who succeeded in deceiving the goalkeeper’s alertness (minute 20). Burnley continued their pressure and were able to score the third goal before half an hour through Dara O’Shea.
In the second half, Vincent Kompany’s men increased their comfortable lead in the 81st minute through Wilson Odubert, with a perfect pass from Zorori.
The draw for the fourth round of the English League Cup is scheduled to be drawn on Wednesday, following the final match of the current round between Newcastle and Manchester City.
