Fawzi Lakjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, presented the data of Morocco’s candidacy file to organize the 2025 African Championship, a file that was praised and noted by all members of the CAF Executive Office.
The Moroccan file was strong, distinct and unique, as it included 6 international stadiums, namely Rabat, Tangier, Fez, Agadir, Marrakesh and Casablanca, to host the official matches.
The university also established six alternative stadiums in case of any emergency, which are the stadiums of El Jadida, Berkane, Oujda, Kenitra, Moulay Hassan in Rabat, and Hassan II in Fez.
In addition, and for the first time in the history of the African Championships, Morocco has placed 24 training fields at the disposal of the participating teams, meaning that each team will have its own training field alone, unlike the rest of the previous tournaments, which provided a field for each two teams.
The Moroccan file also allocated three stadiums for referee training, in addition to many sports infrastructures, such as the Mohammed VI International Complex, the Mohammed VI Academy, regional sports academies, and other sports facilities at the disposal of the participating teams as well as the referees.
