Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech played his first match with Galatasaray this Saturday evening at Rams Park Stadium in Istanbul, which witnessed his team’s victory over Samsunspor by four goals to two, on the fifth day of the Turkish Super League.
The Atlas Lion contributed to Galatasaray’s victory thanks to a decisive pass that enabled Marco Icardi to score a goal in the 67th minute.
Ziyech entered in the 46th minute of the second half to replace Brazilian Tite.
The match began with a first goal by Galata winger Kerim Akturkoglu in the 7th minute, before the Istanbul team scored a second goal in the 29th minute.
Abdelkarim Bardakji scored the third goal for Galatasaray in the 42nd minute, before Belgian Landry Dimata gave Samsunspor the first goal in the 46th minute.
Samson was able to score a second goal thanks to his Danish striker Carlo Hulse (60th minute), before Argentine Icardi dashed Samson’s hopes with a fourth goal for Galata thanks to Ziyech’s pass.
With this result, Galatasaray ranked first in the Turkish League club classification with ten points, while Samsunspor ranks 18th with one point.
Hakim Ziyech joined Galatasaray last August, coming from Chelsea.
