Infantino: “Organizing the 2030 World Cup in three countries is a unified message to the world.”

Gianni Infantino, President of FIFA, praised the agreement to host the 2030 and 2034 editions of the World Cup.

The 2030 edition of the World Cup is scheduled to be held jointly in Morocco, Spain and Morocco, while the 2034 edition will be held in Saudi Arabia.

Infantino said, during his speech before the 77th session of the South American Confederation Conference: “We have proven to the world the possibility of reaching consensus and unity in the decision-making process… In my opinion, we need such messages in our world, which is witnessing, unfortunately, extremely hostile behavior.”

Infantino’s speech came on the eve of the final match of the Copa Libertadores between Fluminense and Boca Juniors at the Maracana Stadium today, Saturday.
