
Members of the Executive Bureau of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have voted to award Morocco the hosting of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
This came during a meeting of the Executive Office of the African Confederation in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, chaired by South African Patrice Motsepe, President of the Confederation.
In its bid to host the tournament, Morocco submitted 6 high-quality stadiums that have the specifications required by CAF to host the continental event, which are the stadiums (Moulay Abdallah in Rabat, Tangier Stadium, Agadir Stadium, Marrakech Stadium, Mohammed V Stadium, and Fes el-Kebir Stadium).
The stadiums of Berkane, Oujda, Kenitra, Moulay Hassan and Abdi in El Jadida and Hassan II in Fez were also designated as reserve stadiums.
