Neymar: Messi and I lived through hell at Paris Saint-Germain

Heba Press – Agencies

Brazilian Neymar, the star of Al Hilal Saudi Club, broke his silence to talk about his time at the French club Paris Saint-Germain, before his move to Al-Zaeem during the 2023 summer transfer period.

Neymar said in an interview with the Brazilian “Globo” network: “I was very happy with what Messi went through last season, but I was sad for him as well.”

The Brazilian star explained: “Leo went to heaven by winning the World Cup with the Argentine national team, and achieved everything in his career, but he lived with Paris in hell.”

He added: “Messi and I lived in this hell, and we are very angry, because we did not go there for nothing. Rather, we always make our utmost effort, and we strive to be champions, and we try to make history, and unfortunately we did not succeed.”

Neymar pointed out: “Messi left Paris in a way that he did not deserve and that was not worthy of his status. Anyone who knows him knows that he is committed in training, fights in matches, and gets angry when he loses.”

He added: “But he was accused unfairly in my opinion, but at the same time I was very happy that he won the World Cup.”

Neymar concluded his statements: “As I said, football was fair this time. Since the Brazilian national team’s exit, I hoped that Messi would win the World Cup.”
