Today, Thursday, November 9, Moroccan national team coach Walid Regragui revealed the official list of the Atlas Lions in preparation for the matches between Eritrea and Tanzania, within the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
Oualid Regragui’s new list included the call-up of French Nice player Sofiane Diop for the first time to the ranks of the Moroccan national team.
Regragui said, in a comment about Diop’s call-up, “I was constantly in contact with Sofiane, similar to Amine Adly. He chose Morocco a long time ago, but he was late in joining the national team due to the procedures for changing sports nationality and due to injury (..)
