
The head of the Spanish caretaker government, Pedro Sanchez, confirmed that the joint candidacy of Portugal, Spain and Morocco to organize the 2030 FIFA World Cup constitutes a “strong and ambitious project.”
The Spanish caretaker Prime Minister said on the social networking site, following a meeting held on Tuesday with the President of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), Gianni Infantino, that Spain is working with Portugal and Morocco to present a solid candidacy for the 2030 World Cup.
The Spanish official pointed out that this joint candidacy constitutes “an ambitious project carrying positive values.”
He stressed: “We work with a clear idea: football is a sport of global importance that can transmit positive social values.”
