The Royal Moroccan Football Federation revealed that on Monday morning, October 30, 2023, a letter of intent to host the 2030 World Cup finals was submitted to the General Secretariat of FIFA in the Swiss city of Zurich.
Mr. Tariq Najem, Secretary General of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, handed over the letter of intent agreement to FIFA officials and the 2030 World Cup Nomination Committee, which was signed on Saturday, October 28, 2023, by the presidents of the three football federations. It concerns each of Messrs.: Fawzi Lakjaa ( President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation), Fernando Gomes (Portuguese Football Federation) and Pedro Rocha (Royal Spanish Football Federation).
