Mamelodi Sun Downs, South Africa, eliminated its host, Al-Ahly of Egypt, after forcing it to a goalless draw, this evening, Wednesday, at Cairo Stadium, in the second leg of the African League semi-finals.
Tunisian Ali Maaloul, the Egyptian Al-Ahly player, missed a penalty kick in the 11th minute of the first round.
Sun Downs clinched its qualification to the final with this result, after winning the first leg over Al-Ahly of Egypt with an unanswered goal.
The South African team will meet Wydad Athletic Club in the final.
