With the participation of Real Madrid and Barcelona… Saudi Arabia hosts the Spanish Super Cup

The Saudi Ministry of Sports announced on Wednesday that the Spanish Super Cup will be held in the country next January.

The Ministry stated in a statement that the tournament will be held between the 10th and 14th of the same month, and will witness the participation of four clubs: Real Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Atletico Madrid and Osasuna.

She added that the tournament will begin with a confrontation between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid on January 10, at All Park Stadium in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. The next day, Barcelona, ​​the holder of last season’s title, will play against Osasuna, with the winner of the first match meeting the winner of the tournament. The second match in the final on the 14th.

The 2024 edition will be the fourth organized by Saudi Arabia, after previously organizing the tournament in 2020, 2022 and 2023.

Barcelona is participating in the tournament as the league champion, while Real Madrid is competing as the cup champion, Osasuna is playing as the cup runner-up, and Atletico Madrid is third in the league championship last season.
