The Confederation of African Football (CAF) said that Morocco’s hosting of the 2030 World Cup will contribute significantly to the development of football in Africa and the advancement of the game, especially among young people.
This came in a statement in which the Confederation of African Football congratulated Morocco on winning the hosting of this global football event alongside Spain and Portugal.
The statement quoted the President of the Confederation of African Football, Patrice Motsepe, as saying: “CAF is pleased to congratulate Morocco and its partners, Portugal and Spain, on the decision of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) to choose the three countries to host the 2030 World Cup.”
He added, “We are confident that the partnership between Morocco, Portugal and Spain in organizing the 2030 World Cup will be successful.”
The statement indicated that the FIFA World Cup will be organized for the second time in Africa in the 100-year history of the World Cup, when Morocco, in partnership with Portugal and Spain, hosts the 2030 edition.
