Wydad Athletic Club wrote to the organizing committee of the African League in order to defend and secure its fans, who traveled to Tunisia to support the team in its match against Esperance, in the second leg of the African Super League semi-final.

The club continued in its correspondence: “Threatening letters against Wydad Club fans were widely circulated on social media platforms, and we even have videos documenting the persecution of those who arrived in Tunisia as soon as they left the airport.”
