This morning, Tuesday, September 26, 2023, Moroccan coach Youssef Sefri submitted his resignation from his position as technical director of the first football team of Qatar Sports Club.
The club published a brief statement, today, Tuesday, on its official website under the title “Thank you, Youssef,” in which it said, “Qatar Club management accepted coach Youssef Al-Safari’s request not to continue managing the technical staff of the first team” for the 2023-2024 season. The statement added that this step “came after a series of unsatisfactory results, the last of which was a loss to Al-Sadd Club by three goals to one in the Expo Stars League competitions.”
The statement indicated at the same time that Al-Safari, who supervised the training of Qatar Club in the last three years, had “achieved good results on separate occasions.”
The club management expressed its wishes to the coach for success in his future professional career.
The club management did not announce the name of the replacement coach who will lead the team in the next confrontation against Al-Arabi the day after tomorrow, Thursday, for the fifth round of the Qatari Football League (Expo Stars League).
